How I Revise For My Mocks!

At request of one of my friends. I've decided to spontaneously write this post, as I know that some people struggle revising, so I am sharing some of the ways I revise and the techniques I use! I am currently midway through my mocks, so when this post goes up, I'll probably be revising!
Mind Maps

This is probably the main way I revise, as I am a visual learner, so find things easier to learn if they are presented on a page with colour, because they stand out more for me. Once you have completed your mind map, highlight the key points that you need to know: this should help you remember the facts a lot more!
Also add a post it note, and write down each subheading on the post it, so when you go to revise it again, you can look at the subheading and from that, write down everything you know about the topic. Then underneath in a different colour, write down the things you forgot, and this should remind you that you need to revise this again.

Life Update: Mocks, Rehearsals, Turning 16 and Prom!

I haven't written a chatty post in so long, and to be honest I wanted to ramble on a bit as I have a lot going on right now, so I felt like a chat was the best way to express all that's going on. (The way I put this sounds like it's a bad thing, but there's only really one bad thing going on!)
Get the worst part out of the way first, and that's to say that my second lot of mock exams are fast approaching. They start tomorrow (19th) when this post goes live and end just before my 16th birthday, which is just over two weeks and I couldn't be more excited! I have been revising for these mocks and attending sessions in school over the past week, to prepare myself, and I am hoping to come out with similar grades to last time which I was very pleased with!
As well as mocks and GCSEs approaching, I also have my annual dance show at the end of March, which I am actually quite looking forward to as it will be a break from school, which is well needed, a fairly relaxin…

The Boyfriend Tag!

As Valentine's Day has just passed, I thought I'd stick with that sort of theme, and I've wanted to write this post for a little while now, and I'm actually really excited to write this post with my boyfriend Tom (I still find it weird to say this haha!) We're sticking to the typical post as I couldn't think of what to write so, this is the boyfriend tag, which is also my 100th post on my blog!

1. When/how did you meet?
We both agreed that it was year 8 when we first met and it was through secondary school, as most teenage relationships do!

2. Do you find it awkward being together in public??
I thought I'd find it awkward at first but I am beginning to feel a lot more relaxed about being out in public together now. I think this is because we've been really good friends since year 9, so are used to spending time together.

3. If you could both travel to the same place together, where would you go??
We spoke about this and decided that we would love to tr…

Valentines Pink MU Tutorial

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and I thought why not do a tutorial, because I've wanted to since I started blogging, I got to wear pink eyeshadow and I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit! I did do a halo eye which was something brand new to me when I did this look and I am starting to get the hang of it now! I also tried to use some products I don't normally use too much, and I also didn't want to make this look too full coverage for once!

After cleansing and moisturising my face, I sprayed it with my PS Primer Water, which is my go-to primer at the minute because it's quick and simple but also really hydrating and it wakes me up most days! I didn't use any colour corrector as I wanted to keep my natural redness for once, so I moved onto foundation and my foundation of choice was the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 105. I like this foundation as it's not full coverage, matches my skin perfectly and it does actually stay matte which means I ha…

A HUGE Haul: Primark, River Island and More!

Ever since my local shopping centre (if you can even call it that) opened a new MASSIVE Primark, I decided that I should do a bit of retail therapy from revision, and do some shopping. I also ran a poll on my Instagram (@ameliaaa.____) and Twitter (@ameliahooper02), and pretty much everyone answered yes to this haul so here it is.

Obviously I picked up some bits from Primark, as I couldn't not, and the first item I picked up was these grey and white checked trousers, and they have a rolled up hem at the bottom which is really nice. I really like these are they are so comfy and soft if trousers can be. I love the fact that they are elasticated which works well because I have a fairly small waist! These were £10 which I think is so good for such nice trousers.

The next item from Primark was red and white striped tee shirt and this was only £3 which I think is so affordable! It is stretchy and a bit long but as you can see I would tie this up because I do that with most tops…

Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone: OOTD

I've been getting into fashion a lot more recently and I have been stepping out of my comfort zone more and trying some different trends. And I decided to be a bit more adventurous a couple of weeks ago, so decided to take some photos (I'm pre-writing as mocks are coming up!) and decided to write a post on it!

The main focus in this outfit is the jumper and I got this from Pull&Bear in the boxing day sales. I was so happy when I picked this up because it had been on my wishlist for quite a while! It was £15.99 which I didn't think was too bad for a jumper because the quality of it is amazing: it's so soft and warm, hence why I went out with no coat in the middle of January! It has the writing 'NEW YORK' across the middle in white which contrasts with the navy blue colour of the jumper and the coloured stripes that run below it. What I love about this is the sleeves, and the fit of the jumper. It is so baggy which I love but it does hinch in (if that's …

January Favourites

Can you believe that January is over already?? Personally I can't process this, mainly because it's getting closer to exams but this is not the place to stress about them! Over the past month and a bit I've been loving a fair few products/items and just random little bits, and so I thought I'd round this month off with a favourites!

I have just done a post on my favourite makeup items, however I have found my love for 2 more products since writing that post, the first being the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in '05'. I needed a new concealer and saw whilst in Boots that Maybelline had released a lighter shade in their Fit Me range. I have the foundation and concealer in '10' but I found that it was too dark so I was very excited to try this out! I really like this concealer, it is not full coverage but it does brighten up the under eyes really well, and it blends really easily, whereas with my Collection Concealer I find it hard to blend. I also f…
