ncs week 1

If you have read my most recent post, (if not read here), you would have known that I went away for a week as part of NCS. I travelled to YHA Edale, which is in the Peak District, to go on the adventure week. After a rocky start, I managed to get settled, and enjoy the week.

Personally, it started not so well as I got moved from my group that I had bonded with well at the induction, and then was also not allowed to sit with the person I wanted to and then the bus broke down. But the first thing I did when I got there was unpack, get changed as I stunk and went for a little walk through the hills, which was beautiful, before eating tea and doing some team building, which was very eventful. It was the first time I properly got to know my team, and talk to a few of the new people. I realised I got along with most of the team well, despite not remembering their names! We also met Mark, our instructor for the week, and he did some activities with us, which were very entertaining! But …

a reflection on my blogging experience & things are changing...

I just want this to be a stripped back post, back to basics, just me and a laptop. It's the night of the Teen Blogger Awards and I am currently waiting for Love Island to start! This post is just one that I want to post to let you all know what's going to happen over the next few weeks regarding my blog and how it's changing as I finish my summer holidays and start sixth form.
The first thing I want to say is a massive well done to all winners of a Teen Blogger Award! You are all well deserved winners! Although I didn't win the category I was nominated for (Best Lifestyle Blogger) I am still so overwhelmed that I was even nominated, due to the fact I have only been doing this for a year and a half! (ish...) I didn't think that this little website where I just ramble would be recognized and nominated for an amazing award! So thank you to anyone who nominated me or voted for me! Also congratulations to the winner Elin from who also won best blog …

I haven't done award/tag for such a long time, I think the last one was the Liebster Tag last year which feels like ages ago! 1. What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time (excluding blogging)? Other than blogging, I have 3 other passions: photgraphy, baking and dance. I love taking pictures, and getting the perfect Instagram photo! I love trying out new angles and filters also! I love baking and trying out new recipes, even if they go wrong! I love learning new techniques and I like attempting the cla…

diy: iced toffee latte

for this recipe you'll need:
1 tbsp of coffee 1/2 cup of boiling water 3 tsp toffee sauce 1/4 cup of milk 4-8 ice cubes (depends on preference)
1. Add 1 tbsp of coffee to a cup and add boiled water from a kettle to about half way full.  2. Place this in the fridge (if so a couple of hours before or overnight) or freezer (20 mins) to cool it down, because it does not work out hot!  3. Take out of the fridge/freezer and add ice cubes to a glass. 4. Add 3 tsp of toffee sauce to the coffee and stir before adding it to the glass with ice cubes. 5. Pour 1/4 cup of milk over the coffee and stir!
So it's just as simple as that! I have been loving iced coffee at the minute and now I have discovered how to make my own, I don't have to keep going to Starbucks or Costa! It is so easy to make but can take a bit of time! hope you liked this little food post! I would like to do more but have no idea what to do! will be back with a new post tomorrow at 12, love,

5 songs in july

Honestly I feel like I've not written a music post in so long! Update: the last one was in January, so this is long overdue! I have been trying to vary up what I have been listening to over the past few weeks, and these five songs stood out to me, all for different reasons and I want to share them, because they all deserve a lot of recognition!

Mi Gente- J Balvin, Willy William & Beyoncé

Just summed up in one word: Summer. I don't know what it is about this remix that I love so much. It's probably because it's Beyoncé featuring and I am a MASSIVE fan of Queen B herself. I think she makes the song so much more powerful if that can be done! J Balvin and Willy William are both amazing artists, and the combination of all 3 creates a song that for me pretty much defines summer. My family and boyfriend although are very much fed up of me playing this song because it is so overplayed in my house!

Lovely- Billie Eilish ft Khalid

This song is usually something I wouldn't …

what i eat in a day!

An idea that I have been all over the internet recently is the "what I eat in a day" video, so I'm hopping on the band wagon and showing you what I eat in a typical day that I have now I've finished school! Just a bit of background information: I am non-vegan, non-vegetarian, and I have no allergies. I don't particularly eat healthy also, and I also eat a lot!

For my breakfast I had my usual breakfast which is toast with Flora. It fills me up and I also had some squash, which I'm pretty sure was Cherries & Berries. Usually I will have more pieces of toast as most days I am starving when I wake up, but on this day I wasn't very hungry at all. Shocker!

After heading into town, I got home and was very hungry so decided to make a snack, even if it was 11:30! I decided to get 3 digestive biscuits topped with Nutella. With this I had a banana which is very out of my comfort zone and an extra spoon of Nutella. I really enjoyed this to be hones…

summer skincare routine

Skincare is usually not something I care too much about, and as I do have pretty clear skin. However, I have wanted to have a routine in place, as I am trying to reduce the amount of break outs I have! I mean, what a great time to be writing this, considering I have just broken out with a few spots around my nose!

I don't own a lot of skincare products, and its just because my skin rarely needs a full, deep cleanse, but these products I use on a daily basis. In the morning, I will only apply the last 3 products, just because I don't usually have a lot of time to focus on skincare! In the evenings, I start by taking off my makeup with the Garnier Micellar Water and a cotton pad, which thoroughly takes off my makeup, meaning I can skip the stage of cleansing. If I am feeling lazy however, I just remove my makeup with a makeup wipe.

I then hydrate my face with the Mario Badescu Facial Spray, which helps my skin from not going dry in the summer months. This also gives me a bit of…

the £3 bronzer i'm obsessed with

We all love a bargain and my most recent one was from Makeup Obsession. I recently discovered this bronzer when their new stand arrived in my local Boots store. The reason I picked this up was because I fancied a change from my usual bronzer/contour kit, and it was such a bargain at only three pounds!!
As I said this bronzer is from Makeup Obsession and it cost £3. I bought mine in the shade 'C102 Light' as I have fair skin.
The packaging of the product is really simple but I think simple packaging is the nicest. It was a bit to pop out at the back to be placed in an individual palette that Makeup Obsession also sell. I will have to admit that I find that I do find it a bit annoying because I usually end up popping the pan out when I go to close it!

In terms of pigmentation, like all Makeup Obsession products, this bronzer is very pigmented so you do have to go a little lightly, so you don't over-bronze, if that can be a thing!! You hardly need any product on your brush…
